Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience in fabrication or machining environments, and a commitment to safety and precision.
Pay: Depends on experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut materials according to job specifications and production schedules
- Set up machines, including loading materials, selecting programs, and adjusting machine settings
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and work orders to ensure accurate production
- Monitor cutting processes to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts and perform quality checks to maintain high production standards
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime
- Coordinate with production team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals
- Maintain organized work areas
- Track inventory of raw materials and notify leadership when supplies need replenishment
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Clean and deburr parts as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting equipment in a machining or fabrication environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming or CAD software is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on work ethic required
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
