What You Will Do
- Support the development and certification of safety-critical embedded software in accordance with DO-178B/C
- Hands-on verification, test development, hardware-software integration, and certification data support in an onsite laboratory environment
- Perform DO-178B/C verification activities, including structural coverage analysis (including MC/DC), data and control coupling analysis, and source-to-object code analysis
- Develop and execute DO-178B/C compliant test cases, procedures, and automation scripts
- Support DO-178 lifecycle data management, including traceability, reviews, and certification artifacts
- Participate in tool qualification activities per DO-178B/C and DO-330
- Conduct embedded software verification and debugging in a hardware-software integration environment
- Utilize lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, resistance and calibration boxes, and test breakout boxes
- Support system integration and troubleshooting using LabVIEW and custom test setups
- Collaborate across software, hardware, systems, and certification teams
- Proactively identify issues, communicate risks early, and drive solutions independently
- Experience with DO-178B/C software lifecycle process, including verification, lifecycle data management, software audits, and certification
- Hands-on experience in aerospace product development, including integration and debugging
- Proficiency with DOORS (requirements management), Subversion (SVN) or similar version control tools
- Experience working within DO-178 compliant software development and verification environments
- Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to ramp up quickly and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics to support embedded software development
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- At least three years of hands-on experience as a software engineer in embedded software verification or development

Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Vergennes, VT.
- Candidates within 50 miles of the facility must be able to commute to and from the location with their own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.

Salary : $105,000 - $150,000
