We have an immediate opening for a Material Planner [SIOP] at our aerospace location in Phoenix, AZ. The primary focus of this role is to manage the flow of materials and inventory, forecast demand, identifying potential shortages, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely and adequate supply for production
Duties & responsibilities include:
Collaborate with Operations to set planned ship dates and monitor performance to plan
Work material release plans to support MRP and customer schedules
Work with operations to identify constraint operations to optimize material flow
Ensure material flow to achieve quality, delivery targets, and overall value stream health
Interface with various business functions such as Operations, Engineering, Quality, Customer Support, Finance and HR to achieve cell goals and company’s objectives
Utilize SAP to track material and record operation commits dates
Work with procurement to understand raw material impacts and develop mitigation plans
Track and monitor inventory that have excessive days in production
Maintenance of safety stocks and kanban’s
Manage excess, obsolescence & general inventory activities & reporting to ensure targets are met and improvements are made
Attend daily production meetings and other ad hoc meetings as dictated by Operations or Program Management
Work Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years’ experience or 5-7 years’ experience in material planning in lieu of degree
High intermediate experience in SAP
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work and interact within all levels of the organization.
Exercise independent judgment regarding resolution of problems and interaction with other departments
Problem solving and analytical skills to review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments
Planning, organizing and managing time to handle multiple assignments concurrently
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 40 hours weeks plus lunch / core (required) hours / General shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.

Exempt salary range: $64K to $69K DOE
