Position Title: Lead Engineer
Location: 175 Addison Rd, Entrance A, Windsor, CT 06095 and unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.
Position Responsibilities: Develop a design from subsystem requirements specifications. Implement into the client’s systems software according to peer reviewed and approved designs. Create developer test cases and execute these test cases on software. Accurately and frequently report to internal and external stakeholders on status, progress, obstacles, etc. Develop Embedded control subsystems such as Multi Pack Battery Control System (MPM) and its interaction with each MATLAB control model. Develop a sequential flow of control between modules. Read and update from subsystems such as Traction Control System, Locomotive Control System etc. Make GUI Modifications in the Human Machine Interface Screen based on the system testing. Host technical meetings with the Wabtec project leader and developers. Create technical developer documentation. Address technical queries of developers and user community. Conduct design review meetings with onshore engineering team, production team and the offshore engineering teams. Responsible for project coordination which includes phase wide scoping, planning deliverables, imparts necessary training to developers/users, customer interaction, resource and time management.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, or related field, PLUS five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: C/C for Embedded Systems; Bash; Python; Linux; Unix; QNX; safety critical software design; CENELEC standards; rail industry standards; Robot Test Automation framework; MATLAB; Simulink, and; writing embedded drivers for I2C, SPI, UART Protocols. Travel to unanticipated client locations, throughout the U.S., approximately 30% as required. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
