What You Will Do:
- Ensure new products are manufacturable and lead improvements for existing products
- Be the quality technical authority on potential non-conformities, collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to enhance the manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and reduce costs
- Lead manufacturing: Collaborate with various teams to meet cost, delivery, and safety targets
- Issue Resolution: Quickly resolve issues during industrialization and production, ensuring root cause identification and corrective actions
- Deliver robust manufacturing technical packages and methods for production components
- Champion continuous improvement within the team
- Assess internal/external concessions resulting in quality issues
- Integrate lessons learned into methods and designs to improve quality, cost, delivery, and lead time
- Provide day-to-day quality support for manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with Quality, Industrialization, and Operations processes
- Experience with sheet metal parts, castings, complex machined parts, welded, and brazed fabrications
- Continuous improvement, root cause investigation, and lean techniques experience
- Experience with heat exchangers and pipework assemblies is desirable
- Successful delivery of projects focused on cost, delivery, and quality improvements
What You Will Bring:
- Engineering Degree with 2-4 years' experience in engineering management or operations
- Previous roles as a Quality Engineer in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors
- Strong manufacturing engineering background with expertise in the design and definition of complex products
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Experience in product (cost, manufacture, maintenance, build)
- Proven technical and professional in a team of Engineers and manufacturing disciplines
- Experience in leading change across a business
- Practical experience in a production or supply chain facility in Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience in New Product Introduction, Industrialization, Production, and related processes
- Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen
Pay Range: $70,000-$80,000 a year
Work Requirements:
- We offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements, to support the need of the role and align with company policies. This position is located in Rome, NY and is considered as Hybrid with some days potentially required on-site.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required
Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
