What you'll do:

The Project Manager position at Quest Global is pivotal, focusing on harmonizing the requirements of our project leaders, employees, clients, and the organization across all operational aspects. A key aspect involves nurturing and guiding project leaders to foster a thriving business and a positive work atmosphere with high employee engagement. Project Managers represent Quest Global to our staff and clients, expected to embody integrity and lead by example. While challenging, this role can be highly rewarding for individuals with the right mindset to develop leaders and achieve daily business objectives. Further, the Project Manager is accountable for the Business Excellence components of Delivery: Yield, project management, resource management, workload allocations within the team, and more. The Project Manager's scope of influence extends over a group of technical and people managers, including their direct reports.

Effective delegation, team development, workload & project tracking, and identifying new resources to add to the team will be crucial for the manager’s success. Additional duties include stretch assignments, operational readiness, and timely prioritizing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Management
  • Resource planning; Facilitation of internal trainings; Providing Directional feedback, Coaching, Interview/Hiring support and Day to day management
  • Project Management:
  • Sponsor Unit Fixed Price, Firm Fixed Price, Medium complexity, Multiple discipline, and Multiple Bill Rate Projects
  • On time delivery, Proposal preparations & Risk Assessments.
  • Project Health monitoring & approvals
  • Own RCAs and Product/Continuous Improvements
  • Attend Quality Audits
  • Communication
  • Daily touch points with direct reportees as well as frequent touch points with indirect reportees.
  • Regular team meetings to flow down company and immediate organizational communications.
  • Customer Focus
  • Brings forward any escalations that need to be brought to the senior leadership's attention or requires customer action.
  • Have discussions on SoWs internally and prepare timely responses on requests for quotes/proposals.
  • Technical Leadership
  • Engineering expertise in industry process workflows and knowledge on Finite Element Analysis
  • Work with technical managers within program and center to ensure healthy capability development within the organization. Create an environment where Cascading Talent is encouraged.

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum AS degree with 4-6 years of engineering experience OR BS/BA degree with 3-6 years’ experience preferred or in lieu of a degree have 10 years of relative experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools is required
  • Experience with SAP, or another MRP system, strongly preferred
  • Prior management experience in leading a team of engineering associates is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication, teamwork, self-motivation, and organizational skills

Work Requirements:

This role is considered a hybrid position located in Phoenix, AZ.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the office location 2-3 days a week with your transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Monthly visits to local customer locations: Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Travel requirements: 15-30%
