Job Overview
Quest Church is looking for a skilled and dependable Contract Audio, Visual & Lighting (AV) Technician to support our Sunday worship gatherings and occasional special events. If you have experience with live sound, lighting, presentation software, and enjoy using your technical gifts to help create meaningful worship experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
This part-time contract position averages 10 hours per week, with most hours taking place on Sundays and occasional weeknight events. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, works well with volunteers and staff, communicates clearly, and aligns with the mission and values of Quest Church.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating live audio, lighting, and presentation systems for worship services
- Supporting special events and church ministries
- Assisting with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Collaborating with worship leaders and pastoral staff
- Helping equip and train AV volunteers
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience operating a soundboard and lighting console in a live event or worship setting
- Familiarity with common church AV systems, including microphones, DI boxes, in-ear monitors, and stage monitors
- Working knowledge of lighting software and DMX-based systems
- Experience with video projection and presentation software preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues calmly and quickly in a live environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with volunteers and staff
- Alignment with the mission and values of Quest Church
Pay: $35.00 per hour
