What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Recovery Mentor position at QUEST CENTER FOR INTEGRATIVE HEALTH?
Employment Type: Hourly, non-exempt, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per work) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
Location: Quest Center – Multnomah and at all other Quest locations for coverage.
Remote work may be available and is at the discretion of management.
Travel: Some local travel may be required to meet program or staffing needs.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Certified Recovery Mentor provides in-person and remote support services to members of our Quest community in Multnomah County working with clients in our SUD outpatient program. In this role you will engage enrolled clients in the recovery process by providing program intake and support services, responding to requests by connecting clients with resources and providers to support clients with their recovery efforts. Collaboration with clients, clinical and care providers, and internal and external services, is at the crux of this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Apply person-centered principles to build relationships, trust, and rapport with clients.

Assess client needs and develop goal/action plans accordingly.

Utilize cultural competency, active listening, and motivational interviewing skills to assist clients in reaching their treatment goals.

Establish relationships with local agencies and community partners.

Collaborate with local agencies to coordinate services.

Travel with clients to and from appointments, as needed.

Assist clients in carrying out the activities to fulfill their goal plans and problem solve with clients to overcome challenges.

Complete required reports quarterly.

Work closely with internal and local Peer Support Specialists and Certified Recovery Mentors to maximize the quality of community service.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, ensuring all SUD peer support charting is completed according to program standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

Maintain compliance with applicable laws, rules, policies, and guidelines governing work &/or licensure/certification.

Attend regular clinical supervision meetings.

Perform other duties as assigned/needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.

Basic computer and keyboard proficiency using Microsoft Office software.

To be culturally conscious and work with diverse caseloads.

Ability to work collaboratively as a team member, as well as independently.

Ability to maintain accurate records and necessary paperwork.

Must adhere to the agency's non-discrimination policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Meets the definition of a Peer as defined by the State of Oregon Administrative Rule: a) self- identified person currently or formerly receiving mental health services; OR b) a self- identified person in recovery from a substance abuse disorder, who meet the requirements for recovering staff in alcohol and other drug treatment programs; OR c) A family member of an individual who is a current or former recipient of addictions or mental health services.

Must hold a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) certification from a state-approved training program or be willing to become certified immediately.

Knowledgeable about the lived experience of addiction, recovery, MAR, and engagement with complex systems of care, including behavioral health, housing, healthcare, and the corrections system.

Applicants in recovery must have a minimum of two years free from substance use.

Knowledge and belief in Quest Center’s mission

Knowledge and experience with local resources.

Must have a valid Driver's license and be able to transport clients to and from appts as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Exceptional applicants will have experience facilitating support groups.

Preferred experience working within recovery, HIV, and/or LGBTQIA2S communities.

Knowledge of Recovery Housing
