Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Equity Trading / Fidessa / FIX

Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Equity Trading Platform Engineering team supporting mission-critical trading applications and Fidessa OMS/EMS workflows used by internal business users and external clients. The SRE will be responsible for the stability, resiliency, performance, availability, and production support of front-office equity trading systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line SRE and production support for Equity Trading Systems, including Fidessa workflows.
• Support critical trading workflows such as order routing, FIX connectivity, and algorithmic trading.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, infrastructure, connectivity, and database issues.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health and develop/enhance monitoring and observability solutions.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and operational tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve platform stability.
• Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, automation, operational processes, and platform architecture.
• Participate in global production support, including on-call rotations.

Requirements

Trading / Capital Markets

• Strong production support experience with front-office trading systems.
• Hands-on experience with the Fidessa OMS/EMS platform.
• Strong understanding of FIX Protocol and trading workflows.
• Experience supporting multiple asset classes.

Operating Systems & Scripting

• Strong troubleshooting experience with Linux, Unix, Windows Server, and databases.
• Strong scripting/automation experience with Python, Bash, SQL, and more.

Monitoring & Observability

• Experience with tools like Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, and more.

Databases

• Experience with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

Messaging & Integration

• Working knowledge of messaging platforms like IBM MQ, Kafka, and more.

Networking

• Strong understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, and more.

DevOps / CI/CD

• Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and more.

Cloud & Containers

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.

Soft Skills

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Salary : $70 - $72
