Role Description The Regional VP of Wealth is a full-time, on-site role based in Columbia, SC, responsible for expanding regional wealth management activities. This position works with high-net-worth and emerging affluent clients, providing comprehensive wealth planning, investment guidance, and trust and estate solutions aligned with client goals and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include, setting and monitoring sales and service targets, ensuring adherence to compliance and risk management policies, and partnering with bank leadership to integrate wealth offerings into broader banking strategies. The role also includes representing Queensborough Investments in the community through networking, presentations, and participation in local events to build brand presence and generate new business.
Qualifications
- Current and active experience in wealth management, or financial advisory leadership.
- Strong skills in client relationship management, consultative selling, and financial planning, with the ability to translate complex investment and insurance solutions into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management, along with a solid understanding of retirement planning, estate planning, and tax-aware investment strategies.
- Knowledge of broker-dealer and registered investment advisor environments, including relevant regulatory requirements, compliance practices, and documentation standards.
- Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with a track record of building trust with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
- Collaborative leadership style with skills in coaching, performance management, and cross-functional coordination with banking, trust, and corporate benefits teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CFP
