Job Description for the Medical Assistant
Our busy internal medicine practice is looking for Medical Assistant. We’re looking for a Medical Assistant who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Take vital signs
2. Ensure timely patient flow
3. Assist in all aspects of a clinical environment
4. Document clinical chart notes appropriately,accurately and timely in EMR
5. Ensure exam rooms are clean and fully stocked at all times
6. Assist front desk with checking patients as needed
7. Schedule follow up appointments as needed
8. Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
9. Escort patients to exam rooms
Experience/Skills required for the Medical Assistant:
1. Bachelor Degree required
2. Medical Assistant Certificate preferred
3. Medical school, NP/PA track students preferred
4. Medical terminology required
5. Phlebotomy preferred
6. Computer literacy and familiarity with EMR required
7. Superior "bedside manners"

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
