The Opportunity:
As the Coordinator for Facilities Data Systems you will administer the functions of our computerized maintenance management system database for the Queen’s Health System. In this position you will expertly provide support to our Facilities Management by providing regular reporting that is critical for work prioritization, trend monitoring, productivity, and equipment maintenance record keeping. Additionally, you will support the frontline maintainer with application training and portable device management.

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administers and coordinates functions of information management system and maintains database pertaining to equipment information and maintenance for The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS).
• Provides reports and supports the Facilities Maintenance and Bio Med Managers and Facilities Director in managing the data base for the Facilities/Bio Med Work Order and Preventative Maintenance System for The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS).
• Performs training and administrative support functions to management and department.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: sitting, walking stooping/bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Frequent: standing, lifting usual weight up to 25 lbs; carrying usual weight of 5 pounds up to 20 pounds; reaching above, at and below shoulder level; repetitive arm/hand motions.
• Occasional: climbing stairs, ladders, twisting body, pushing/pulling.
• Operates computer, copier, facsimile machine, typewriter, telephone, bar code reader, and other office equipment.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• May be required to wear construction hard hat, ear noise protection, and enter areas under renovation or fully operational containing Facilities equipment to obtain equipment serial numbers etc off data plates.
• Requires infrequent travel to receive training updates and both on-island and interisland travel to provide training to other Queen’s facilities.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• High school graduate or equivalency.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Five (5) years progressively responsible administrative/office type experience; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
• One (1) years supervisory/management experience.
• One (1) year experience with an information management system demonstrating ability to administer and coordinate activities pertaining to the system, preferably internet-based in facilities/biomed information management.
• Prior experience in training staff.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
