We are deeply committed to equity, inclusion, and social justice.Position OverviewThe Program Director will lead the Community Resources for Employment and Development (CRED NYC) trades training programs within the College and Career Services division. This role is responsible for overseeing program operations and ensuring high-quality service delivery for young adults ages 18–30 who have been directly impacted by the justice system or reside in high-crime communities.The Program Director will guide community engagement, program management, and workforce development efforts with a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and client-centered outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Management & DevelopmentOversee day-to-day operations of the CRED NYC trades training programs, ensuring excellence in service delivery and participant outcomesDevelop and implement program curricula, workshops, and activities aligned with participant needsMonitor program performance using QCH’s Salesforce data system and implement improvements as neededStaff Supervision & DevelopmentRecruit, train, and supervise program staff, including trainers and a job developerProvide ongoing coaching, professional development, and performance supportFoster a collaborative, high-performing team cultureParticipant Support & EngagementEnsure participants receive individualized support, including academic counseling, postsecondary planning, and soft-skills developmentPromote a positive, inclusive, and trauma-informed program environmentSupport participant engagement, retention, and successCollaboration & PartnershipsBuild and maintain partnerships with community organizations, employers, and workforce stakeholdersExpand internship, apprenticeship, and career placement opportunitiesConduct quarterly site visits to evaluate internship placementsAdministrative & Compliance DutiesTrack program metrics and outcomes using Salesforce and other reporting toolsEnsure compliance with QCH and DYCD funder requirements, including accurate and timely reportingAchieve key program benchmarks:100% participant enrollment70% credential course completion100% job placement rateMaintain adherence to organizational policies and program standardsAdditional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in QCH meetings, trainings, and organizational eventsPerform other duties as assigned in support of program and organizational goalsQualificationsBachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in social work, education, public administration, workforce development, or a related field preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in workforce development, youth/young adult programming, or related human services fieldAt least 2 years of supervisory or management experienceExperience working with justice-involved populations or individuals from historically marginalized communities strongly preferredProficiency with data tracking systems (Salesforce preferred)Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and partnership-building skillsCommitment to equity, inclusion, and strengths-based, client-centered practicesBenefitsQueens Community House offers a competitive benefits package, which may include:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageGenerous paid time off, including holidays, vacation, and sick leaveRetirement plan optionsProfessional development and training opportunitiesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Mission-driven, supportive work environmentHow to ApplyInterested candidates should apply through the Queens Community House careers portal.
