About Queens Childcare Network (QCCN)
Queens Childcare Network (QCCN) works with licensed family-based childcare providers throughout Queens and partners with NYC DOE, Family Child Care Networks (FCCN), schools, and community-based organizations.
Through funding from the WIC Community Innovation and Outreach (WIC CIAO) initiative, QCCN is expanding outreach to WIC-eligible parents of children age 5 and younger. This initiative focuses on empowerment, education, and increasing access to WIC resources through in-person events and virtual workshops.
Position Overview
The Health Resource Coordinator (HRC) will lead community engagement, provider support, and program management efforts under the WIC CIAO initiative. This is a metric-driven role reporting directly to the QCH Childcare Network Director.
The HRC plays a key role in coordinating provider monitoring, nutrition compliance, and community resource engagement for home-based childcare providers, with a strong focus on CACFP oversight, WIC referrals, and system-level coordination across the Queens Childcare Network.
This is a full-time, grant-funded temporary position, with potential for future funding or internal opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community outreach to engage WIC-eligible parents and community stakeholders
- Organize WIC Ambassador trainings and facilitate monthly meetings
- Maintain accurate contact tracking for WIC inquiries and referrals
- Conduct WIC pre-screenings and connect families to appropriate services
- Provide referrals, resources, and non-emergency parenting guidance
- Plan and host in-person workshops, baby showers, and educational events
- Coordinate and/or facilitate WIC-related webinars (bilingual as needed)
- Implement surveys and collect data to measure outreach effectiveness
- Maintain accurate, metric-driven reporting and documentation
- Provide verbal and written translation (Spanish/English) as needed
- Participate in all required QCH, QCCN, and WIC meetings
- Support CACFP compliance through monthly monitoring visits to family childcare providers
- Collaborate with providers to ensure adherence to health, nutrition, and safety standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the QCCN Director
Qualifications
Education / Professional Background

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Public Health, Human Services, Sociology, Education, or related field
OR - Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent experience (e.g., 5 years in human services, public health, or community programs)
Experience
- Experience in CACFP or other nutrition-related programs preferred
- Experience in community outreach, resource coordination, or provider support
- Familiarity with WIC and maternal-child health resources
- Experience working with diverse or marginalized communities
- Experience with data collection and metric-driven outreach
Essential Requirements
Language
- Bilingual English/Spanish (fluent in reading, writing, and speaking) – required

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Teams, Zoom, and Google Docs
- Experience using Microsoft Forms or similar tools for data collection
- Ability to maintain accurate data tracking and reporting systems
Compliance Requirements
- NYC DOE PETS Clearance (required or ability to obtain)
