We are seeking a driven Operations Manager to lead day-to-day field operations, manage crews, and help scale the company with structure and accountability.
Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, crew performance, scheduling, quality control, and client satisfaction. This role bridges the gap between ownership and the field—ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to company standards.
This is a leadership role for someone who understands landscaping operations and can manage people, processes, and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Scheduling
- Oversee daily and weekly schedules for maintenance, enhancements, snow removal, and special projects
- Coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and routes for maximum efficiency
- Adjust schedules in real time due to weather, call-offs, or job changes
- Ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget
Crew Leadership & Accountability
- Lead, mentor, and hold foremen and crew members accountable
- Conduct morning check-ins and end-of-day reviews
- Enforce company standards for quality, safety, and professionalism
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training field staff
- Address performance issues and support crew development
Quality Control & Client Experience
- Perform site visits and quality inspections
- Ensure work meets Queen City Landscaping standards before completion
- Communicate with clients regarding schedules, issues, or service adjustments
- Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally
Equipment & Asset Management
- Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and reporting
- Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
- Ensure trucks, trailers, and tools are clean, safe, and job-ready
Reporting & Systems
- Track job progress, labor hours, and production
- Assist with job costing and operational reporting
- Help develop and improve SOPs, checklists, and workflows
- Work closely with ownership on planning and growth initiatives
Seasonal Operations
- Manage snow removal operations during winter events
- Coordinate crews, routes, and storm response
- Assist with seasonal transitions (spring startup, fall cleanups, winter prep)
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in landscaping, construction, or field operations management
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Knowledge of landscaping services (maintenance, installs, irrigation, hardscape, snow removal a plus)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using scheduling software, mobile apps, and basic reporting tools
- Valid driver’s license (chauffeur’s license a plus)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
