Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of personal injury cases, from initial client consultation through settlement negotiations or trial proceedings
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
- Prepare cases for trial by gathering evidence, coordinating depositions, and developing compelling legal arguments
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progress
- Negotiate settlements that maximize client benefits while maintaining professional integrity
- Stay current on developments in personal injury law and related areas such as procedural law, statutory regulations, and court procedures
Experience
- Proven experience in personal injury law with a strong track record of successful litigation outcomes
- Familiarity with general & commercial litigation practices and legal advocacy techniques
- Demonstrated ability to handle court depositions and trial preparation efficiently
- Knowledge of related legal fields such as estate planning, employment law, family law, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and statutory legal research is a plus
- Proficiency in legal research platforms like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development
- Experience managing legal case files using case management software and maintaining meticulous records
- Strong writing skills for drafting motions, pleadings, and client correspondence
- Excellent negotiation skills to advocate effectively on behalf of clients in settlement discussions
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and professionally to clients and stakeholders
