What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance / Transportation Director position at Quartzsite Elementary School District #4?
Hours per Day: 10 hours per day; Monday Thru Thursday. Some overtime may be required.
Location: Ehrenberg Elementary
Wages: Level C on the classified salary schedule based on experience

Description:
- Oversee the Maintenance and Transportation Department and its employees
- Maintain District grounds, buildings, vehicles, and equipment
- Complete minor repairs or coordinate contractor repairs per District procedure
- Transport students to and from school and school events
- Produce and maintain accurate records
- File timely reports
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Possession or ability to obtain AZ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Includes medical certification
- Must be able to pass random and annual drug / alcohol screenings
- Pass written and road skills testing from ADOT
- Possession or ability to obtain AZ School Bus Driver and Passenger endorsement
- Must be able to obtain Fingerprint Background Clearance card
- Knowledge of light custodial / maintenance duties is requisite
- Must work cooperatively with others
- Must adhere to all District policies, State and Federal Laws
- Must be able to follow strict daily schedule for specific route times
- Must be able to exercise sound judgment
- Previous school district experience preferred
- Must have high school diploma
