Quarterdeck Marinas is hiring a dependable, hardworking full-time Dockhands to support our busy marina operations. This is a hands-on outdoor position focused on safely launching, retrieving, fueling, cleaning, and assisting with customer boats and boat club reservations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with launching and retrieving dry-storage boats
- Assist with cleaning and prepping boat club boats
- Guide forklift operators and help position boats safely
- Secure boats using proper lines and fenders
- Fuel boats and follow all fueling safety procedures
- Clean docks, equipment, work areas, and marina grounds
- Inspect boats for visible damage before and after handling
- Maintain accurate launch and retrieval records
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Assist with general marina maintenance and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays
- Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, rain, and changing weather
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Comfortable working around boats, docks, fuel, and heavy equipment
- Must be able to swim
- Strong work ethic and attention to safety
- Professional attitude with customers and coworkers
- Boating or marina experience is helpful but not required
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Weekend availability is mandatory because weekends are our busiest operating days. Applicants who cannot consistently work weekends should not apply.
Quarterdeck Marinas is a growing Charleston-area marina company focused on hospitality, efficiency, safety, and professional development.
