QuantX Biosciences is an emerging computation powered small molecule drug discovery company based in Princeton, New Jersey. QuantX aims to build a world class computational drug discovery platform by merging physics-based modeling and modern modern AI/machine technologies, while fully utilizing an industry-leading high-performance computing resource. With a team of highly accomplished drug hunters, empowered and tightly integrated by the platform, we strive to discover breakthrough medicines. 

 

We are seeking a talented and motivated senior process chemist to join our team with the following responsibilities: 


  • Develop overall API strategy, timelines, budgets, risks & mitigations plans of all process development, starting materials, and manufacturing campaigns
  • Oversee development activities including scale up, form screening and technology transfer at CRO and CDMO partners and ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness
  • Manage CDMO partners to ensure quality and timely delivery of API
  • Review and approve batch documents for drug substance manufacturing
  • Interact with external patent counsel in helping to draft patent applications for any new chemistry
  • Contribute to the authorship of CMC regulatory documents

 

Qualifications

  • A PhD in Organic Chemistry or related fields, with a minimum of 8 years of experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotech company
  • Experience in both drug substances and drug products
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in progressing projects into clinical development
  • Highly efficient in managing multiple projects under timeline constraints
  • Skilled in leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve company goals
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and proactively devise mitigation plans
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills  

 

Desirable skills

  • Experience in preformulation API development

The role is hybrid with 2 days/week (Wed/Thurs) in the HQ office. We offer a highly flexible work-life balance.


Anticipated annual base salary: 230-250k /year with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
