We design, develop, manufacture and deliver eVTOL Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and an ecosystem of related products and services. Our business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. We currently have an opening for a well-qualified Electrical Engineer. This position reports to the Manager of Systems and Hardware.
As an Electrical Engineer at Quantum-Systems, you will play a critical role in solving challenges within the dynamic and competitive government UAS industry. In this role, you will be a creative problem solver, tackling the multi-faceted problems facing our various platforms and delivering cutting edge technology transforming the battlespace. Candidates will exemplify their technical acumen to identify, create and advance new technologies aligned to our company's vision for UAS and Airborne Artificial Intelligence.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate as part of the Quantum-Systems engineering team.
- Able to lead team of to deliver project milestones in a high tempo work environment.
- Minimal Supervision to design and implement digital and analog circuits.
- Resolve complex problems during troubleshooting using industry best practices.
- Integrate unmanned system technologies such as edge computed data fusion, vision AI, teaming and payload coordination.
- Lead technical integration efforts.
- Analyze and develop Root cause corrective actions.
- Position requires travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
- Embody, promote, and live the Quantum Systems core principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline, Electrical Design experience.
- Experience in High-Speed Digital and Analog Circuit design.
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience in Video and Data Communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background check required/US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Altium for schematic capture.
- Proficient in worst case analysis in circuit design.
- Proficient in PCB layout using Altium Designer tool.
- Experienced with Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) design, documentation, and working alongside contract manufacturers.
- Familiarity with embedded electronics.
- Power Supply design.
- Experience in Motor Control or Robotic System design.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate and test complex systems including Datalinks, Control systems and vehicles.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
