Quantum Systems Inc. is a global leader in aerial intelligence and autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics. We design, develop, manufacture and deliver eVTOL Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS and an ecosystem of related products and services. Our business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. We currently have an opening for a Drafter (Contract). This position reports to the Hardware Engineering Manager.
The Drafter (Contract) is responsible for creating and revising detailed technical drawings and schematics used in the design and manufacturing of components and assemblies. This role works closely with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are accurate, complete, and ready for manufacturing. This is a 6-month contract position supporting ongoing projects and production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on engineering specifications
- Revise existing drawings and designs to reflect engineering changes
- Ensure drawings comply with industry and company standards
- Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams to resolve design-related issues
- Support document control and drawing release processes
- Maintain drawing files, BOMs, and revision histories in PLM systems
- Assist with creating exploded views and layout diagrams for technical publications or manuals
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field; or equivalent experience
- 3 years of drafting experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CAD software
- Understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
