Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician to join our team supporting water and wastewater treatment operations. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate a wide range of instrumentation and control systems that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving, and working in an environment where accuracy and reliability matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain instrumentation including flow meters, pressure sensors, level transmitters, analyzers, and control valves
- Perform routine and advanced calibration of process instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues, including PLC‑based systems
- Assist with programming, testing, and modifying PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems under supervision
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control equipment
- Interpret wiring diagrams, P&IDs, loop sheets, and technical manuals
- Document work performed and support regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve system issues
- Support upgrades, installations, and commissioning of new equipment and control systems
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in instrumentation, electrical, controls, or industrial maintenance
- Experience in water/wastewater treatment or industrial process environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Knowledge of basic electrical theory, troubleshooting, and safety practices
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, or industrial automation systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
