Position: Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at one of our San Antonio apartment communities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of hands-on maintenance experience, with a focus on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs. HVAC Certification is required for this role, as it is central to maintaining the comfort and safety of our residents. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing repairs, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring that apartment units and community areas meet safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from residents and property management
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other equipment
- Conduct regular inspections of apartment units and common areas to identify maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and operational procedures
- Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance work and work orders
- Assist in maintaining stock and inventory of maintenance supplies, reporting any needs to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Community Manager
- Be available for on-call duties for after-hours emergencies and weekend shifts when needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 year general maintenance tech experience
Carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC experience.- HVAC Certification required
CPO Certification preferred
