The Press Brake Operator III sets up and operates press brake equipment to perform complex metal forming operations. This role supports high-mix production and new product introduction (NPI) builds by ensuring precision, quality, and efficient execution across changing job requirements.

The Press Brake Operator III sets up and operates press brake equipment to perform complex metal forming operations. This role supports high-mix production and new product introduction (NPI) builds by ensuring precision, quality, and efficient execution across changing job requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake equipment for complex forming operations
- Perform bending, forming, and shaping of metal components to blueprint specifications
- Select, install, and adjust tooling, dies, and machine parameters for optimal performance
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Perform first article inspection and in-process checks using precision measurement tools
- Troubleshoot setup issues and make adjustments to ensure part accuracy and repeatability
- Support high-mix, low-to-medium volume production and NPI builds
- Complete routers, job travelers, and production tracking documentation accurately
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams on part requirements and issues
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and equipment care
- Identify and communicate process improvements to improve efficiency or quality
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 6S standards
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards

- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with press brake setup, tooling selection, and forming techniques
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently on complex setups and changing job requirements
- Familiarity with fabrication environments and metal forming processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2–4 years of press brake or related fabrication experience required
- Experience in high-mix or prototype manufacturing environments preferred
- Semiconductor or high-tech fabrication experience is a plus
- Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment supporting precision metal components
- Frequent interaction with production, engineering, and quality teams
- Moderate to fast-paced environment with changing priorities and job setups
- Work performed in accordance with 6S and safety standards

- Exposure to a metal fabrication and machining environment with moving machinery
- Moderate to high noise levels from press brakes and fabrication equipment
- Exposure to metal materials, sharp edges, and fabrication debris
- Required use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
- Work may involve frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- May involve varying temperatures depending on shop conditions
