Job Overview
As a Shift Leader at Quantum Fulfillment Services, you will oversee daily operations on the book production floor, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient workflows across multiple departments. You’ll be responsible for managing production staff, enforcing quality and safety standards, and meeting production goals for each shift. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong mechanical skills, a keen-eye for detail, and experience leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production team members across binding, trimming, case-in, and packing stations.
• Lead a team of employees, ensuring productivity, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, operational procedures, and quality control standards.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing or workflows to maintain efficiency and output.
• Train, coach, and mentor new and existing employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, and production procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and support basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Manage material usage and work-in-progress inventory, reporting shortages or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with supervisors to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report any discrepancies.

Shift Time

Day Shift: 5:30a-4pm (day of the week rotates, includes weekends, shift time stays the same)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, printing, or fulfillment environment.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of 10 or more employees in a production setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with industrial bookbinding or finishing equipment.
• Familiarity with assembly line workflows, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
• Lean Six Sigma is a strong plus
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, lifting, repetitive tasks).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
