You will work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is critical. In addition, you will receive general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.

Job Description
The Opportunity
As a Material Handler in our San Diego, CA location, you will be responsible for the physical tasks involved in the receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. You will work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is critical. In addition, you will receive general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
Responsibilities
- Transfer materials, equipment, kits, and supplies required for efficient material flow through production/assembly areas.
- Cycle counting of stocked items
- Accurately pull materials for kits required by manufacturing
- Physically transfers material to assembly workstations, maintains bench stock and handles completed assemblies between work areas or cost centers.
- Locates and transfer parts within the facility that may be required for completion of assemblies.
- Verify and maintain associated stock records, logs, shortage reports and other documentation.
- Utilize small hand tools and may operate material handling equipment including forklift, pallet handlers, skids, hand trucks, and the like.
- Two years of hands-on material handling experience in a stocking focused production or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with storage bays, racking systems, following inventory control processes, and FIFO procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email, enter data, and navigate inventory or production software.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- 5S and LEAN Manufacturing experience.
- This position’s work mode is 100% onsite. The employee will report to our facility in San Diego, CA five days a week.
- Salary Range: $20.50 - $29.50 hourly
