What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Quantum Adult Day Program?
About the Role: Direct Support Professionals provide person-centered support to adults with developmental disabilities in our Adult Day Program, helping participants build life skills, engage in the community, and meet their Individual Program Plan goals. DSPs also provide supervised transport for community activities.
Schedule & Pay Monday–Friday, daytime hours (program runs 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; some earlier/later coverage). Competitive hourly pay; benefits for eligible positions; paid training.
What You'll Do Support participants with daily activities, life-skills instruction, and community outings at a 1:2 / 1:3 ratio. Implement IPP goals and positive behavior support; collect simple progress data. Assist with personal care, meals, and safety as needed, with dignity and respect. Drive participants to community activities in company vehicles (valid license required).
Requirements 18 , high-school diploma/GED; reliable, compassionate, team-oriented. Ability to pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan background check and TB/health screening. Valid CA driver's license and clean driving record; First Aid/CPR (or willingness to certify).
