What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Science Intern position at QuantLink AI?
About QuantLink
QuantLink is a financial technology company building data and analytics tools for public equity markets. We use modern machine learning, large language models, and quantitative research to help investors better understand how companies and stocks have behaved historically under different conditions.
Our platform focuses on:
- Organizing and analyzing large sets of technical, fundamental, and price-based data
- Providing transparent, evidence-based analytics and tools
- Supporting investors and professionals in making more informed, data-driven decisions
As an early-stage company, we work in a focused, collaborative environment where people can take real ownership of their projects and see their work used in production.
Role Overview
This is a paid, full-time internship for a Data Science Intern based in Minneapolis, MN, with a hybrid work arrangement (a mix of in-office and remote work).
You will work with our data and engineering teams to analyze complex financial and company datasets, build and evaluate models, and help turn analytical insights into practical tools for our users.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Perform statistical analyses on large, noisy financial and alternative datasets
- Develop and evaluate predictive and descriptive models related to stock behavior and risk/return characteristics
- Engineer features from technical, fundamental, and price-based data
- Build clear, reliable visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teammates to translate analysis into product features and internal tools
- Help design and run experiments (e.g., A/B tests, backtests, and other structured evaluations) to understand how different signals and methods perform over time
- Document methods, assumptions, and results in a clear and reproducible way
This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys both math and programming, and who is interested in applying data science to questions about companies, markets, and decision-making.
