Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Qualifications:

  • Bachelor¿s degree in a related field appropriate to work of the position, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR three years of practical experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Ability to manage, organize, coordinate and prioritize multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously. Skill in preparing documentation and presentations in the proper format following naval correspondence rules of grammar and punctuation. Ability to operate a personal computer and associated peripheral equipment and software. Highly proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software suites. 

  • Knowledge of a variety of support functions such as gathering statistical data, monitoring, and reporting. A thorough knowledge and understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis and exploration and the ability to compute and perform analysis. Skill to check source data to verify completeness. Ability to compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered into computer systems and required databases or platforms for use in analyses or reports. Ability to compare data with source documents, detect errors and make corrections as needed. Knowledge of classroom management. Ability to prepare course materials and handouts to support the delivery of instructional curriculum. Ability to present established briefs, presentations and other informational material in a classroom setting. Knowledge of conducting research to support updates to program literature, marketing and/or outreach efforts. 

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both oral and in writing, with employees, clients, and others using proper tact, diplomacy, emotional intelligence, and overall professionalism. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with various internal and external entities to support program events. Ability to ascertain needs from clients and provide appropriate guidance. Must be able to incorporate and rapidly adapt to changing facets, priorities, and procedures. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.  This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Transition Readiness Program (TRP) Administrator, Personal and Professional Development (P&PD) Branch; Marine and Family Programs Division; Marine Corps Community Services. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Transition Readiness Program (TRP) Administrator to perform support functions of gathering, collecting, upkeeping, and reporting statistical data; to prepare and conduct briefs, presentations, and training sessions; to assist clients, and to participate in program outreach events as directed. The TRP Administrator is a member of the TRP office which conducts and executes the installation¿s TRP duties to assist military members and their families as they transition to civilian life and complete all congressionally mandated requirements per Congressional Public laws, Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI), Marine Corps Orders and other directives. Greets clients and gathers brief personal data to assist in identifying immediacy of need and scheduling appointments. Receives clients and provides warm handoff to the appropriate service provider. Screens incoming telephone calls, determining those which can be answered, and those which must be referred. Schedules clients for classes and individual appointments and provides reminder/follow-up communication to clients. Adapts services for clients as needed. Assists in the execution and facilitation of transition assistance seminars and personal and professional development program lifecycle requirements. 

  • Supports registration and scheduling of clients; assists training instructors in preparation for classes or during training to include aiding students with course work; and coordinates logistics for hosting seminars and other events. Interfaces with unit personnel, Unit Transition Coordinators (UTC), designees, and others to ensure units are familiar with and educated on all program requirements. Provides UTC/Designee training, UTC/Designee refresher courses, TRP educational briefs, and other briefs as required. Maintains continuous communication with UTC, designees, and other unit key stakeholders to support the commander¿s efforts in executing the program requirements. Maintains continuous communication throughout the installation, other TRP offices, HQMC, external agencies and inter-agency partners, academic institutions, and nonprofit organizations to successfully market the program, provide outreach to clients, coordinate local career fair opportunities and TRP events. Research information on local and national career, education, and/or recruitment processes and standards, and labor market trends and produces supporting materials for distribution to clients. Conducts, organizes, and provides program analysis to ensure functional needs are met for programs and services. Supports program evaluation efforts; prepares reports, after-action requirements, and follow-on support for all unit-level inspections. 

  • Supports and participates in the Marine Corps Family Program (MCFP) Certification. Collects, compiles, organizes, and maintains information and data to support TRP and to meet program requirements. Creates, prepares, and manages reports, databases, spreadsheets, graphics, slide shows, presentations, correspondence, and draft instructions, and ensures the quality of content. Facilitates methods for automating reports and correspondence. Manipulates data to meet presentation and report requirements. Compiles administrative reports regularly or as otherwise directed by the program¿s leadership. Evaluates and interprets data to identify and clarify issues and concerns. Performs support functions and prepares reports and input for budgets for the P&PD programs. Executes HQMC's established data collection and reporting processes and procedures. Ensures client attendance to all required courses are properly reported on the Department of Defense Transition Assistance Program (DoDTAP) system and other systems as directed by HQMC. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists clients and communicates positively in a friendly manner.  

Salary : $68,000
