We are currently seeking a Rhapsody HL7 Developer. Local candidates are preferred. Non-local candidates willing to relocate at their own expense must be able to start the hybrid work schedule with no delays. Candidates will interview via Microsoft Teams video. The work schedule is hybrid, consisting of two days onsite in Lansing, MI and three days remote. There is no option for a fully remote work schedule. A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this position.
Job Description:
This position supports and completes the tasks necessary to design and implement a methodology to enable our client to track the transmission of messages and provide additional related services supporting the interfaces for systems connecting to the Data Hub. The selected candidate will work under the direction of our client and across matrix teams to support and complete the tasks necessary for our client’s technical team. The resource is integral to supporting and improving our client’s automated processes, streamlining critical business processes, data integrity, SEM/SUITE compliance, and securing the applications. As a team member, the resource participates in a variety of assignments that provides for the enhancement, integration, maintenance, and implementation of projects. The resource will also provide application oversight to business analysts and to other teams integrating with Health Enterprise Service Bus (HESB).
Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To:
- Responsible for developing solutions for new use cases.
- Develop Interfaces based on the business requirements and specifications.
- Create technical requirements and system design based on business requirements.
- Develop custom filters as required using Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK).
- Create mappers, mapper definitions using EDI message designer.
- Write JavaScript code with on Rhapsody using JavaScript(v1) and JavaScript (v2) filters.
- Develop API calls for SOAP, REST and web service calls.
- Data format translations from HL7v2, HL7 V3, FHIR, CCDA, XML, JSON and flat file as required.
- Working on CDA mapping and conversions.
- Prepare code review SUITE SDLC documents.
- Develop database connections for MSSQL or Oracle databases.
- Develop TCP, HTTP, LLP and OAUTH connections as per the standards.
- Responsible for overall system design.
- Responsible for overall code and configuration.

- Using Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK) to create custom filters and mappers.
- Custom message payload translation from one format (e.g., JSON, XML, HL7) to a different format (e.g., proprietary/legacy format).
- Experience using web services, SOAP, REST, OAUTH, TCP-connections, and LLP.
- Experience using transport encryption/security; TLS, mutual authorization via certificates.
