Our client, a leading importer and marketer of premium Mediterranean food products, is seeking a Shopper Marketing Manager to join their U.S. team. This brand is widely recognized for its commitment to quality, heritage, and innovation in the specialty foods category, with products found in kitchens across the globe.

As Shopper Marketing Manager, you will report to the Vice President of Marketing and play a critical role in shaping the shopper journey and enhancing the purchase experience—both in-store and online. You’ll connect shopper insights with activation strategy, helping the organization understand who the consumer is, what motivates them, and how to better reach them across channels. This is a collaborative, insights-driven role that influences both marketing and sales functions.


Key Responsibilities

Shopper Marketing & Insights

  • Analyze shopper data (e.g., loyalty card data, Circana/Nielsen, Numerator) to uncover behavioral trends and generate actionable insights.
  • Deliver insights on demographics, path-to-purchase, leakage trees, and cross-category behaviors to inform targeting strategies.
  • Develop impactful, insight-based shopper programs that enhance digital and in-store visibility at top retail accounts.
  • Lead activation planning and execution across in-store, digital, social media, couponing, and brand partnership channels.
  • Build and manage the national and regional shopper marketing calendar in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Champion the voice of the shopper and retailer internally to ensure strategic alignment across commercial and marketing efforts.
  • Track KPIs and ROI for all shopper marketing initiatives and ensure strong proof of execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key liaison between Marketing, Sales, and Finance to streamline shopper marketing strategy and execution.
  • Support the Marketing and Sales teams with insights, programs, and strategic tools aligned with brand and growth objectives.
  • Partner with brokers and retail media networks (e.g., Walmart Connect, Instacart, Kroger 84.51, KPM) to execute campaigns and ensure retailer compliance.

Analytical & Administrative Support

  • Track deductions and develop performance scorecards for shopper and trade programs.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and deliver performance analytics to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication between departments for all marketing and sales operations initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in CPG shopper marketing, trade marketing, or sales operations.
  • Skilled in working with consumer panel data, retail loyalty data, Circana/Nielsen, and retail media platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Proven ability to transform insights into action, manage multiple projects, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a detail-oriented, hands-on approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (10–15%) to meet with brokers, retail partners, or attend trade events.
