Maintenance Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, maximizing uptime, leading maintenance personnel, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily maintenance operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Manage and develop maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve equipment reliability, production efficiency, and product quality.
- Lead equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action efforts to reduce downtime.
- Plan and manage plant shutdowns, major repairs, and maintenance projects.
- Utilize a CMMS to schedule work, manage maintenance records, and optimize resource planning.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs such as equipment uptime, preventive maintenance completion, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets while identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members to build technical capability and improve performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
- 10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Previous leadership experience managing maintenance teams in a production facility.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with reliability improvement and asset management practices.
- Experience leading capital improvement or equipment upgrade projects.
- Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or similar operational excellence methodologies.
