Hydraulic Mechanic Lead

Location: Miami, FL

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Mechanic Lead to oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of hydraulic components. The ideal candidate will lead a team of mechanics, ensure compliance with FAA regulations, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the hydraulic mechanics team in daily repair and overhaul activities.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and testing of aircraft hydraulic components and assemblies.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with FAA, EASA, and company quality standards.
• Review work orders, inspection reports, and parts documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Train and mentor mechanics on proper techniques, procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate with Quality Control and Production departments to meet schedules and priorities.
• Maintain shop organization, tooling calibration, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in aircraft hydraulic component repair or overhaul.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of FAA Part 145 regulations and maintenance documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, CMMs, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an FAA-certified repair station.
• Familiarity with test stands and hydraulic system diagnostics.
• A&P License or military aviation maintenance background is a plus.
