Our client, a successful prop trading firm, is looking to add an experienced Software Engineer to one
of our strong and growing trading teams. The individual in this role
will collaborate extensively with quantitative traders and researchers
as well as technologists on the team to design and advance proprietary
trading systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient with high
performance coding and comfortable working in a hands-on manner. S/he
will work with a team of people to solve difficult technical problems
in an artful way. The trading team is open to New York or Chicago for
this position.
Required Experience:
Algorithmic trading system development experience strongly preferred
Should have worked extensively with C in a Windows and Linux environment
Experience in object-oriented design and multithreaded programming
Development in a high performance environment experience preferred
Should demonstrate noteworthy analytical and problem solving skills
Strong understanding of computer systems e.g. operating systems,
networks, performance optimization, etc.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or its equivalent
5 years hands on development experience
Team player with the development skills to back up his / her quiet confidence
