Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer applies Quality Assurance expertise and process improvement tools to support continuous improvement across targeted organizational functions. This role contributes to Quanta’s growth and customer satisfaction by advancing quality initiatives and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS). Key responsibilities include supporting new product, process, and service launches through advanced quality planning and detailed documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary Quality liaison between the organization and its customers, proactively ensuring customer requirements and expectations are clearly understood and fulfilled.
- Manage the customer complaint process and lead the development, implementation, and verification of corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare, analyze, and communicate supplier performance metrics to drive improvement with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in the internal Quality System Audit program and track corrective actions to ensure timely and effective closure.
- Analyze statistical data and product/process performance metrics to identify trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including adherence to established processes, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Design, develop, and deliver quality-related training programs across the organization.
- Support all phases of product development and new product launch activities to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Develop and evaluate process capability studies and control plans, and conduct process audits to improve operational performance.
- Develop, implement, and audit inspection and test plans, standards, acceptance criteria, procedures, and work instructions.
- Lead investigations of quality issues and ensure effective root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up verification.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, repair processes, quality improvement programs, and design for manufacturability.
- Working knowledge of quality tools and techniques, including data analysis and sampling plans.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Data center experience and a thorough understanding of solid state drives (SSD)
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to establish effective partnerships with internal stakeholders.
- Fluency in Chinese preferred
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
- One (1) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with hands-on exposure to product development, quality assurance, supplier quality engineering, supplier performance systems, and engineering documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to access and navigate various departments within the organization’s facilities.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
