Quanex is looking for a Facility Maintenance Coordinator to join our team located in Kent, WA.
This position is responsible for assisting the maintenance department by coordinating activities related to the work order process, ordering parts for inventory and machines, and providing reports, and completing special projects.
This is a full-time, Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift position, typically starting at 6:00 am daily.

- Interfaces with multiple departments
- Work directly with vendors, contractors, maintenance and purchasing to plan and prioritize maintenance work.
- Determine and requisition materials needed for stock and work requests.
- Utilize the maintenance management system (MMS) to effectively manage work and costs efficiently.
- Participate in and plan for plant shutdowns, scheduling project work, as appropriate.
- Place purchase orders with the vendors and review orders regularly
- Coordinate with purchasing and vendors to ensure parts availability working closely with suppliers in partnership to maintain critical target inventories and replenish stock.
- Develop and maintain accurate inventory levels for required spare parts.
- Support and participate in the budget process.
- Coordinate and resolve payment issues with suppliers and Accounts Receivable.
- Participation in storeroom and maintenance activities, including receiving, kitting, issuing, sourcing, ordering shipping and inventory cycle counting.
- Facilitate shipments and documentation domestically.
- A high school degree, or equivalent.
- Strong computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, and Maintenance Management systems experience.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able demonstrate initiative and the ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member.
