Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to join our vibrant quick service restaurant team. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food service management, hospitality, and team supervision. The General Manager will support daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff and ensuring smooth shift transitions
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to meet established standards
- Handle POS transactions using Toast POS
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
- Train and develop staff on food safety protocols, customer service excellence, and operational procedures
- Supervise kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food production and adherence to safety standards
- Manage shift schedules, coordinate staffing needs, and ensure adequate coverage during all hours of operation
- Support budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to food, labor, and supplies
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards across all areas of the restaurant
- Assist in hiring processes including interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members
- Foster a positive team environment through leadership, motivation, and effective communication
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management roles within quick service or fine dining establishments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory control, budgeting, and staff training & development
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed; shift management experience is advantageous
