Principal Enterprise Architect - Salesforce, AWS Cloud & Data Modernization

Position Summary
Virtusa is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead a major modernization program spanning Salesforce GovCloud & Health Cloud, AWS Cloud, and Enterprise Data Platforms. This role partners with client technical strategy teams, C-level leaders, and Virtusa account leadership to define the technical roadmap, recommend the right tools, and maximize value from technology alliances. The architect will connect all dots across business, technology practices, and alliance partners to deliver a unified modernization strategy in highly regulated government and healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with client executives and technical strategy teams to define modernization roadmap, tool selection, and architecture vision.
- Drive enterprise architecture strategy across Salesforce, AWS Cloud, and Data platforms ensuring cohesive design and integration.
- Establish cross-track standards for integration, API strategy, security, and data governance.
- Architect Salesforce solutions for GovCloud, Health Cloud, and public-sector workflows; ensure compliance with FedRAMP, HIPAA, HITECH, FISMA.
- Design secure, scalable integrations with AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB).
- Lead data modernization: unified data models, migration strategy, governance, and MDM for shared domains.
- Collaborate with Virtusa technology practices and alliance teams to leverage accelerators and best-in-class solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and governance across tracks; review designs, enforce standards, and ensure alignment to enterprise principles.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years in enterprise architecture; 8 years with Salesforce and multi-cloud solutions.
- Proven experience consulting with C-level leaders and driving technical modernization programs.
- Expertise in Salesforce GovCloud, Health Cloud, MuleSoft, API-led connectivity, FHIR/HL7.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, serverless patterns, and secure cloud architectures.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, LDV strategies, and enterprise data governance.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, FedRAMP, CMS, and healthcare/public sector compliance.
- TOGAF certification and experience in enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Salesforce certifications: Application Architect, System Architect; AWS Solutions Architect preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with public sector programs, healthcare interoperability, and EHR systems.
- Knowledge of AI/ML (Salesforce Agentforce, AWS SageMaker/Bedrock).
- Background in Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and modern release frameworks.
