Take Ownership of the Projects Building Northern Nevada
Northern Nevada continues to grow—and we're recruiting an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to help lead the earthwork, site development, underground utility, and infrastructure projects behind that growth.
This isn't a desk-only PM position.
We're looking for someone who understands what happens in the field, knows their numbers, communicates well with Superintendents and crews, and can take ownership of a project from preconstruction through final closeout.
You'll join an established and growing civil contractor where Project Managers have a direct impact on production, profitability, client relationships, and the continued growth of the organization.
If you know heavy civil construction and want the autonomy to run your projects like they're your own business, we want to talk.
What You'll Own
Run Projects From Start to Finish
You'll take responsibility for the complete performance of your projects, including:
- Preconstruction planning and project startup
- Budgets and cost controls
- Project schedules and production planning
- Forecasting and financial performance
- Subcontractor and vendor coordination
- Change orders and cost recovery
- Owner and stakeholder communication
- Project documentation and closeout
Your goal is straightforward: deliver safe, profitable, well-executed projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients and field teams.
Know Your Numbers
Strong Project Managers don't find out at the end of a project whether they made money.
You'll actively manage:
- Job costs
- Budgets
- Cost-to-complete forecasting
- Production quantities
- Billing
- Change orders
- Subcontractor agreements
- Cost recovery
- Project profitability
You'll regularly evaluate project performance, identify risks early, and make adjustments before small problems become expensive ones.
Partner With the Field
This company values Project Managers who understand that successful projects are built through strong collaboration between the office and field.
You'll work closely with Superintendents and field leadership to:
- Develop project plans and schedules
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Review production and upcoming work
- Solve field challenges
- Remove roadblocks affecting productivity
- Maintain alignment between budget, schedule, and field execution
You'll be expected to know what's happening on your projects—not just what's showing on a report.
Own the Client Relationship
You'll serve as a primary point of contact for owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
That includes:
- Leading project meetings
- Providing clear project updates
- Managing expectations
- Resolving issues quickly
- Negotiating and documenting changes
- Building relationships that lead to repeat business
