Established law firm with consumer collections practice seeking qualified Collection Specialist for growing business.
Job Summary
While adhering to firm policies and procedures, demonstrates good customer service skills while initiating outbound calls and receiving inbound calls from Consumers. Negotiates account resolution and accurately inputs and documents actions within the collection systems while maintaining firm performance and productivity standards.
Job Description
- Responsible for calling on Consumers with delinquent balances and securing best possible arrangement
- Must be able to deliver a great "customer experience" when speaking with Consumers
- Efficiently type in detailed call notes based on Consumer conversation and arrangements
- Must have good negotiation skills over the telephone in attempt to help Consumer resolve delinquency
- Must be able to evaluate Consumer's financial situation and make helpful suggestions to resolve account
- Escalates and assists other team members with calls as needed
Job Requirements
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have Professional Communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
- Must be able to meet all compliance requirements and deliver a good Consumer experience
- Skilled in basic mathematics
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft office applications
- Ability to perform in work environment where production and compliance are of equal importance
- Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
- Must be able to pass background check
- Bi-lingual Spanish PREFERRED
