The Position: We’re looking for Production Workers to join our team. This is an entry-level position, and workers are assigned to work in any production area and perform all tasks involved in producing Quality Wood Designs metal and wood products. Our pay range is based on knowledge, skill set, and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets technical drawings; gathers and organizes all parts in a logical building order.
• Working with a high degree of efficiency, skill, and quality to help keep our customers’ costs reasonable
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and complete daily activities according to the work schedule and team priorities
• Assist and learn to set up and operate machines used in the production process
• assist in the production and assembly of components of articles such as store fixtures, office equipment, cabinets, and high-grade furniture.
• Maintaining accurate timecard
• Working where needed as production schedule requires
• Working as a part of a team to complete common company goals
• Effective use of conventional and precision measuring instruments
• Responsible for a clean and safe work area
• Ability to identify and repair quality issues
• Recognize, set up, and safely operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade and wood trade
• Other duties as assigned by area supervisor

Physical demands: This position requires using hands, arms, and legs in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things. Also requires the use of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand. The position requires the hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: Regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level is normally moderate. The temperature and humidity will fluctuate with the weather conditions. Regularly exposed to wood dust, metal dust, and odors.
