Route Merchandiser – Full Time – Salary

Starting Wage: $800/week or greater, based upon work experience!

Quality Vending & Coffee Co., Inc., a family owned business since 1991 is one of the fastest growing full line vending, office coffee, and micro-market companies in the Greater Kansas City area.

Our Route Merchandisers provide excellent customer service while performing a variety of duties including stocking and merchandising both vending machines and micro-markets, delivery of bulk sale and/or coffee products, maintaining sanitation standards and driving a company vehicle on an assigned route.

Responsibilities

• Service and stock vending machines and micro-markets with beverages, snacks and fresh food items as scheduled. This process will include merchandising products in a way that is appealing to customers.
• Ensure proper product handling, safety and sanitation standards while stocking.
• Maintain correct par levels by machine and update inventory using a mobile application platform.
• Keep equipment clean and free of debris, and machine lights in proper working order at all times.
• Clean up any spills that occur during or prior to service.
• Responsible for securing and locking vending equipment at all times during service, and prior to departure from account.
• Responsible for safe handling and security of money when collecting, transporting and depositing.
• Responsible for securing vehicle at all times.
• Greets customers courteously and exhibit a helpful manner when dealing with customers.
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily tasks, including but not limited to, servicing and maintaining equipment.
• Relay relevant comments received from customers directly to Route Supervisor.
• Complete any necessary paperwork timely, thoroughly and legibly.
• Work with supervisors in providing follow up training and feedback on routes.
• Other various duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

Qualifications

• Prior Route Driving experience is a plus.
• Prior Merchandising experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Demonstrated ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license in the state of Kansas or must have valid Class E license if a Missouri resident.
• Able to drive automatic transmission vehicles
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to use personal cell phone for on-site call needs as well as inventory management (required to download a mobile application to perform job duties).
• Position requires bending, squatting, grabbing, grasping, twisting, standing, stooping, stair climbing and walking the entire work day.
• Able to lift full racks and boxes, not to exceed fifty (50) pounds.
• Position requires ability to repeatedly push/pull, not to exceed two hundred (200) pounds on wheeled cart.
• Position requires ability to work for extended periods of time in extreme temperature conditions – hot, cold, dry and wet.
• Light cleaning duties such as wiping equipment, sweeping and refilling stock.
