Description:
Urgent Care Facility
- Medical Assistant, Urgent Care Center,Full Time, Part Time or contingent
- Identifies and greets patients, escorts patients to exam rooms, identifies purpose of visit, prepares patient for exam by weighing patient, taking vital signs, and obtaining other appropriate data
- Assists providers with minor medical procedures, clinical tests, EKGs, splinting/casting
- Assists with front desk registration, payment collection, and insurance verification etc
- Qualifications:
- Must be energetic, friendly and a good team player
- Required experience: At least 1 year
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- X Ray experience strongly preferred
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Department preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records, MS Word, and Excel
- American Heart Association: Basic Life Support preferred
