We are seeking an experienced Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician to join our growing Tree Service company. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who can independently manage a PHC route and is also willing to assist with Tree Service operations as a ground technician or climber.

Our PHC program is well established and growing, and this position will become increasingly focused on PHC over time. However, during the initial period of employment, this role will include regular participation in tree crew operations. Flexibility and a willingness to work in both roles is essential

Primary Responsibilities

Plant Health Care Duties:

• Perform plant health care services for residential and commercial clients
• Apply fertilizers, soil amendments, and pest/disease treatments according to best practices and regulations
• Diagnose plant health issues and recommend appropriate treatments
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate professionally with clients
• Independently manage and complete a daily PHC route without supervision

Tree Service Duties (Part-Time / As Needed):

• Assist tree crews as a ground technician and/or climber
• Participate in tree pruning, removals, and job site cleanup
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards
• Support crew operations during periods of high workload

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plant Health Care Technician
• Ability to work independently without training or supervision
• Knowledge of plant diagnostics, pests, diseases, and treatment methods
• Applicator license and/or ISA certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Tree climbing or ground crew experience preferred
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
