Operations Analyst / Production Planner
Position Overview:
We are searching for an experienced Operations Analyst / Production Planner to join our St. Paul, MN team. This hybrid position combines the mining of data and its analysis to help solve problems and improve processes for the entire business, with an emphasis on production planning and schedule fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of ERP systems, data mining using MS Access and/or MS SQL Reporting Services, and the ability to translate that data into useful reports/information that improve the business. This is a full time, in office, salaried position that reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:
· Provide custom report writing and analytics, by mining data from the ERP system (Infor’s Visual Enterprise) and other sources (i.e. Excel), to solve business challenges. This data analyst support responsibility will serve all functions across the organization.
· Be the guru of our Visual Enterprise ERP system and assist/train others across all functions of the organization in the correct and effective use of the system.
· Provide production planning, capacity analysis and recommendations to achieve delivery schedules.
· Participate in production meetings and highlight issues impacting delivery. Recommend solutions to operations, procurement, shipping, and customer service teams.
· Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Desired Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree and/or 4 years of prior related experience.
· Strong analytical/mathematical and problem-solving skills with the ability to mine data and produce reports from the ERP system and other sources using MS Access, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), general coding, and other application development tools.
· Expert user of Infor’s Visual Enterprise ERP system, or ability to become an expert user and mentor others, based on experience using other ERP systems.
· Experience administering EDI a plus.
· Experience using AI tools a plus.
· Comfortable working with the company IT department.
· Contract manufacturing background preferred.
· Experience in manufacturing operations, inventory management, MRP and pull/Kanban systems.
· APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is desired.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
· Strong communicator.
