Customer Service Account Manager
Quality Tool, a dynamic and growing ISO 9001:2015 certified precision metal manufacturing company, has an immediate opening for an experienced Customer Service Account Manager to join our team in Brookings, SD. This position is responsible for managing key customer accounts, coordinating orders from quote through delivery, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, managing daily communications and transactions.
- Partner closely with the production, engineering, estimating and quality teams to coordinate customer orders, resolve issues, and ensure that product and delivery requirements are met.
- Proactively communicate regularly with customers pertaining to orders, projects, opportunities, and concerns.
- Support the Business Development team in identifying and pursuing new manufacturing opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
- Track company performance on key accounts and assist in developing and implementing improvement and efficiency initiatives.
- Perform the prescribed customer service actions associated with the contract review process for on-boarding new parts. If time and ability/experience allow, serve as project manager for on-boarding / NPI projects (project plan, timeline/Gantt chart) by leading and coordinating fulfillment of new manufactured components, purchased parts, finishing (outside) services, and internal team actions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience.
- Proven success in account management, inside sales, or customer service within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience and success as a project manager is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret and relay technical information clearly.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up abilities with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated integrity, energy, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- ERP system experience preferred.
- Basic blueprint reading a plus.
- Strong professional references and recommendations.
