Role Description This is a full-time, on-site skilled CNC Machinist role for either 2nd or 3rd shift located in Brookings, SD. This position offers up to a $5,000 Sign on Bonus depending on the level of verifiable experience. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision metal components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions. Daily responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tools and materials, performing machine offsets and adjustments, and completing production runs while meeting quality and safety standards. The role involves inspecting parts using measurement tools, documenting results, and collaborating with the team to resolve machining issues and improve processes. The CNC Machinist will also perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas organized and compliant with company policies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Machine Operation and Machinery handling for CNC and related equipment.
- Candidates should possess solid Machining and Milling skills for producing precision components and meeting tight tolerances.
- Candidates should possess Quality Assurance skills, including inspection, measurement, and documentation of parts and processes.
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is beneficial.
