Responsibilities
- Facilitate supervised family time sessions between children and their families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide coaching to parents and caregivers on effective parenting techniques, child development, and conflict management strategies.
- Conduct crisis intervention when necessary, managing situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Maintain detailed case records, including notes, incident reports, and family time logs in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
- Collaborate with child protective services, family law professionals, and other social service agencies to coordinate care plans.
- Promote cultural competency by respecting diverse backgrounds and tailoring approaches to meet individual family needs.
- Testify in court under subpoena.
Qualifications
- Must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a human services field (sociology, psychology, criminal justice, social work, etc.)
- A minimum of 2 years working in the human services field is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, with excellent client communication skills in both languages.
- Experience working with children, families, or individuals with disabilities within social services or child welfare settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development, behavioral health, crisis management, and child protective services procedures.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and family law practices related to child welfare cases.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity when working with diverse populations.

Pay: $27.00 - $46.00 per hour
