Job Description:
We are seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to work at El Paso International Airport. This position assists varied levels of technicians with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of baggage handling systems. The schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Manual movement of baggage.
- Responsible for clearing baggage jams on the system.
- May be responsible for moving baggage tubs to and from the bag room to various locations within the assigned work area.
- Assists technicians or other personnel with basic maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning, and greasing.
- Completion of all safety training as assigned by the company.
- Compliance with all company safety programs, policies and procedures.
- Additional duties/assignments that may be required from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of previous mechanical experience or be able to pass a mechanical aptitude test.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge.
- Must have basic computer knowledge, including the ability to log in, retrieve and answer emails, and take training.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
- Must be committed to completing all tasks safely and promoting a safe work environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Compensation: Up to $12.00 - $15.00 per hour.
Schedule: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Sun. - Wed.
Company provides airport badge, parking pass, uniform, and personal protective equipment. Employee must provide steel toe safety shoes.
