Position Overview
The Healthcare Account Executive is responsible for driving new business development and expanding existing accounts within the healthcare market. This role focuses on selling nurse call systems and critical communications solutions to hospitals, clinics, and healthcare campuses. The ideal candidate is a consultative seller who understands healthcare workflows, compliance requirements, and the importance of reliable, life-safety communication systems.
What You'll Do
Sales & Account Development
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within healthcare organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including hospital administrators, clinical leadership, facilities teams, IT departments, and procurement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, aligning technology solutions with patient care and operational goals.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of healthcare accounts, driving both project-based and recurring revenue.
Solution Development & Project Sales
- Assess customer needs and develop tailored solutions for nurse call and critical communications systems.
- Conduct site walks, needs assessments, and system evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design compliant, scalable solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, budgets, and technical scopes of work.
- Support the transition of awarded projects to operations and ensure customer expectations are met.
Pipeline & Revenue Management
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of healthcare opportunities.
- Track all sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions within the CRM system.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and growth targets.
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades, expansions, service agreements, and long-term partnerships.
Healthcare Market Expertise & Compliance
- Maintain working knowledge of healthcare codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., life safety, patient safety, and communication requirements).
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in nurse call and healthcare communications.
- Represent the company at healthcare industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of sales experience in low-voltage systems, healthcare technology, or related industry.
- Direct experience selling nurse call systems, critical communications, or similar healthcare solutions strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare environments, workflows, and compliance considerations.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel locally to customer sites.
Work Environment
- Hybrid office and field-based role
- Frequent visits to healthcare facilities
- Minimal overnight travel (as required by territory)
- Physical requirements may include site walks, ladder access, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
